'She's Embarrassing Me'

Alison-Madueke Drags Embattled Ex-Wife, Deziani To Court

. Wants Her To Stop Using His Name

Ex-husband of a former Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke, Rear Admiral Alison Amaechina Madueke,  has dragged her to court to compel her to stop using his name.

He stated that he was compelled to take the legal action against the embattled former minister because her continuous use of his name poses great danger and embarrassment to him.

He noted this in a petition to the court, asking an injunction restraining her.

The Snoop gathered, the retired naval officer is praying the court grant an order directing the respondent (Diezani) to adopt and revert to her pre-marital surname (Agama) and issue publications in newspapers of national circulation in both Nigeria and the United Kingdom of a notice of her discontinuation of the use of the petitioner’s first name and surname.

The petition, in the High Court of Lagos, suit no LD/15144HD/2024, sought the ex-wife desist from using the petitioner’s name, which poses a significant risk of legal and financial harm to the petitioner as the respondent faces criminal trials in Nigeria and UK.

The petition stated that they stopped living together as couple in May 2015 after her ministerial appointment and in November 2021, citing irretrievable breakdown of marriage, Diezani filed a petition for dissolution of marriage (Suit No. NSD/MG345/2021) at the High Court of Nassarawa State, Nassarawa Judicial Division, sitting at Mararaba Gurku and on April 13, 2022, judgment was delivered in Suit No. NSD/MG345/2021 by Hon. Justice A.A. Ozegya, dissolving the marriage between the petitioner and the respondent on the ground that the marriage has broken down irretrievably.

The retired naval officer in his petition, stated that the respondent faces public allegations of corruption and financial misconduct, for which trials are ongoing for both.

The persistent portrayal of the respondent as the spouse of the petitioner is creating embarrassment, a misleading impression and tarnishing the reputation, integrity, and public image of the petitioner.

Even though the marriage has been dissolved and is now legally finalized, the respondent, more than two years later, continues to use the petitioner’s first name (Alison) and surname (Madueke) as her own without any justification or consent from the petitioner, which falsely suggests to the public continuing relationship between the parties though same has since legally ended.

According to the statement, the petitioner instructed his solicitors to address a letter to the respondent, requesting her to cease the ongoing use of his first name and surname.

Messrs Foundation Chambers sent a formal letter, dated 14th December 2023, urging the respondent to revert to her pre-marital name (Diezani Kogbeni Agama) following the legal dissolution of the marriage.

My Wife Starved Me Of Sex. Says Pastor Arrested For Defiling 7yr-old Housemaid

The General Overseer of Jesus House of Joy Church, Awka, Anambra State, Pastor Francis Ogwu, who was arrested for allegedly defiling his housemaid (7) has blamed his wife for giving him excuses with fasting and prayer over sex.

The cleric, Pastor Ogwu, made the confession after he was arrested by police operatives following an alarm raised by concerned residents of the community, which drew the attention of the State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare.

The suspect, who hails from Imo State but has lived with his wife and children in Awka town, Anambra State, for over 30 years, admitted to have done so and blamed the temptation on his wife.

Pastor Ọgwụ, during interrogations, confessed to the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Hon. Ify Obinabo, that he ‘just fingered the girl once’ but denied other allegations of penetration as against what the victim claimed.

On why he defiled the child, the suspect explained, “I was tempted because my wife usually gives excuses that she’s fasting whenever I want to have quality time with her.”

However, the victim told the Commissioner that the suspect had carnal knowledge of her three times and usually gives her money ranging from N500 to N1,000 after each experience.

She also said that at some point, she was accused by the Pastor’s wife of snatching the husband from her, revealing that it was what prompted her to leave the house following the beatings she received from the suspect’s daughter.

The victim’s mother, a native of Awka, stated that she handed the daughter to the Ogwu family because of the relationship they have had over time, but was shocked when her daughter returned and told her of the development.

She revealed that she quickly called the suspect, who, upon arrival, denied the allegations, which prompted her to involve other people by raising the alarm.

Reacting to the incident, the Women Affairs and Social Welfare Commissioner, Obinabo, vowed to ensure the victim gets the deserved justice and advised women to always be vigilant and stop sex-starving their husbands as that could lead to bad behaviours of some men.

Obinabo, who charged women to always protect their girl child at all costs, noted that defilement is no longer excusable in the state.

Later, family members of the suspect visited the office of the Commissioner, pleading for pardon but were asked to head to the police as the case would be charged to court.

Pastor Ogwu may spend several years in prison custody for the alleged defilement under the Criminal Laws of the State but that will be after the conclusion of investigations by the police.

Paternity Saga:

Estranged Wife, Ezinne Fights Back!

Accuses Ex-Footballer, Olanrewaju of Cheating With Two Side-chicks Whom He Pays N500K Every Two Days

Dora Ezzine, the estranged wife of Nigerian footballer, Kayode Olanrewaju, has revealed how the footballer cheated on her with two ladies in Nigeria, while also stating the huge amount of money he used to send to them every two days.

In a video that was posted on the official Instagram page of Daddyfreeze during an interview video, she disclosed that Kayode cheated on her with two girls in Nigeria, saying that he was sending them five hundred thousand naira (N500, 000) every two days.

In her statement, she said, she pleaded her innocence: “I have never once cheated on Kayode since we got married.

“He has cheated on me with a girl called Charlotte, and there is another girl called Debby, and as a matter of fact, it is on record that he sends them money.

“When I asked Kayode, he said he stopped sending money to me because I was giving his mother money for six months, but there is no record for it.

Kayode Olanrewaju who is a former Nigerian international recently made a shocking revelation concerning his marriage when he declared that he is not the biological father of his three sons whom his estranged wife claimed to have borne for him.

The former junior international claimed result of DNA test he secretly conducted on the children had proven otherwise even as he accused her of fraud, adultery, and abduction.

Despite being seven years older than him, Kayode alleged his wife deceived him about her age at the time of marriage. He stated that one Yetunde Burstline, an associate of controversial figures Daddy Freeze and Taste Bud, introduced his wife to Pastor Tobi Adegboyega.

It was revealed that Pastor Adegboyega engaged in sexual affairs with Mrs. Kayode, who frequently attended orgies, leaving home for extended periods.

According to the footballer, his wife allegedly stole two Mercedes SUVs from him to finance the lavish lifestyle of Pastor Adegboyega and his associates. Furthermore, she conspired with realtor Ugochukwu Igboanugo and accomplices Jennifer Max Nduaguibe and Lynda Dike Anulika to transfer property ownership from him to his estranged wife.

In a shocking turn of events, Mrs. Kayode abducted her three children on Sunday 24th March 2024, their whereabouts unknown. Despite numerous complaints and petitions to law enforcement, including the Nigerian Police (FCID) Alagbon under AIG Idowu Omohunwa, efforts to recover the stolen vehicles, properties, and abducted children have been futile.

Olanrewaju also said his wife has been falsely parading herself as a lawyer and suspected of drug abuse, and allegedly attempting to manipulate OC SARS, Abuja, and DSS personnel to coerce him into relinquishing his property or face harm.

Distressed by the situation, the footballer has attempted suicide twice and terminated his football contract, fearing for his life amid death threats from unknown individuals, including those within law enforcement circles.

However, the marital battle between the couple has taken an ugly turn, with the wife instituting a legal action against her husband for allegedly claiming to be in possession of the negative DNA results of their three sons, Jason, Jayden and Jamin.

An enraged Ezinne, who is demanding the immediate issuance of a disclaimer, said she had to finally toe that path after Kayode’s claim about their children’s paternity went viral on various social media platformss.

She buttressed her stance with a letter from her legal representatives dated May 24, 2024, titled ‘Re: Dissemination of false allegations concerning purported DNA test results of the three children of marriage’ and addressed to Kayode at 14, Tulip Road, Peacock Beach Estate, Lekki, Lagos.

The letter read in part, “It has come to our client’s attention that since May 24, 2024, various blogs and online platforms have been disseminating salacious stories about alleging results of a DNA reveal that none of the three children born during your marriage to our client belong to you.

‘This scandalous and defaming story has spread rapidly, causing severe embarrassment to our client and children. Our client has reason to believe that these baseless, humiliating allegations were contrived and strategically planted by you across various media outlets with the malicious intent of tarnishing her reputation and causing irreparable harm to innocent children.”

The purported report allegedly made available to the media accused Ezinne of fraud, cheating on him with Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, stealing his two Mercedes SUVs to finance the pastor’s lifestyle, and abducting their three sons.

The allegations were extensively trashed by Ezinne in a subsequent post on Instagram, decrying the purported DNA test results and asking Kayode to make them public and state the hospital where they were conducted.

She wrote, “Honestly, I am so tired of this man’s nonsense, and it has to stop now. I knew he was not mentally stable when he pulled out a knife on me some months ago, but to go as far as ruining the lives of innocent kids is way too far. Kayode, I didn’t think you would go that low.

“I have kept quiet on all the rumours you have been spreading because they are baseless, childish, and false. But do you include innocent children? No, now I must speak.

“I have never sold any of my properties or cars and given the proceeds to any pastor, bishop, or imam in this world. In fact, all the rumours this mentally disturbed young man, Kayode, is sharing online are all false.”

Ezinne added, “The last couple of years in this marriage have been like hell on earth. I am so drained and in pain, and I just honestly pray this ordeal is all over soon. I do not wish this kind of abuse and oppression on any woman anywhere in the world. If your story is similar to mine, run away from that man and leave that marriage; you are not stuck! And I pray that God will heal you and send helpers your way like he has for me.”

Ostensibly trying to empty her heart on the issue in one day, the lawyer, who in her Instagram profile describes herself as a fierce queen, strong, unstoppable, exuding power, and elegant, wrote in the third post on Friday, “Olarenwaju Ayobami Kayode, my silence is enough. Don’t ever drag my kids into your web of lies. I urge you to provide the result of the DNA to the public and the hospital where it was conducted, as we are willing to give you the DNA. You traumatised my kids by detaining us in DSS custody.”

Supreme Court Affirms Six-Year Jail Term For Ex-Bank PHB MD, Francis Atuche Over N25. 7bn Fraud

The Supreme Court of Nigeria has upheld the conviction and six-year sentence of the former Managing Director of the now defunct Bank PHB, Francis Atuche by the Court of Appeal, Lagos  Division over a N25.7 billion fraud

In a unanimous judgment by a five-member panel which was prepared by Justice Habeeb Abiru and delivered by Justice Moore Adumein, the apex court held that Atuche has repeatedly failed to prove beyond reasonable doubts why the concurrent judgments of the two lower courts should be tampered and upturned.

“Where the finding of a trial court on the demeanour of a witness is supported by oral and documentary evidence tendered at the trial, as in the present case, an appellate court has no business tampering with the decision of the trial court. This court has not been given any reason to tamper with the concurrent findings of the two lower courts in this appeal, hence the appeal is totally lacking in merit, it is hereby dismissed", the court said.

At the court of first instance,  Justice Lateefat Okunnu of the Lagos State  High Court sitting in Lagos on June 16, 2021 ruled that the EFCC had convincingly proven its case beyond a reasonable doubt and subsequently sentenced Atuche to 12 years and  former Chief Financial Officer  of the defunct bank,  Ugo Anyanwu Anyanwu to 10 years imprisonment. The judge also discharged and acquitted Atuche’s wife,  Elisabeth Atuche.

In an appeal, the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division affirmed the judgment of the trial court on  June 23,  2022 with an adjustment in Atuche’s sentence to six years and Anyanwu’s sentence to eight years.

The Court of Appeal equally upheld the discharge and acquittal of Atuche’s wife.

Atuche, along with his wife Elizabeth and former Chief Financial Officer Anyanwu were tried by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)  on 27 -count charges  bordering on conspiracy to commit felony, stealing and money laundering.  The court found Atuche and Anyanwu guilty of 21 counts and were subsequently convicted by Justice Okunnu.

The apex court’s unanimous decision has brought to conclusion the trial of the former top banker that has spanned over thirteen years.
