Pastor's Detention: MFM Founder, Olukoya Not Different From Convicted Rev. King , Sowore Declares

Human rights activist and #RevolutionNow convener, Omoyele Sowore, has said the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry {MFM} Daniel Olukoya is not different from the convicted Geheral Overseer of Christian Praying Assembly (CPA) Chukwuemeka Ezeugo a.k.a Reverend King, insisting that the police must arrest him for the crimes against humanity.

The former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) in the 2023 general elections, urged the Nigerian Police authorities to also fish out all the policemen and women involved in the atrocities with the acclaimed man of God.

The activist, Newsmen earlier reported, had called on the Nigeria Police Force to immediately arrest and prosecute Olukoya, the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry, for allegedly influencing the incarceration of a pastor for nine years without trial.

The victim, Pastor Femi Jimoh, who identified himself as a former MFM pastor, had accused the church of being behind his incarceration for nine years without trial, over alleged armed robbery.

Jimoh, who made this known during an interview on Yoruba Gidi TV, alleged that his trial started when he met the chief security officer of Pastor Daniel Olukoya at a native doctor's house.

He said he was beaten and handcuffed while a Divisional Police Officer shot him in the leg.

According to him, his mother and sister went to beg Olukoya on his behalf, but he told them that he would be released only if he pleaded guilty in court.

But Sowore in a post shared on his X (formerly Twitter) account demanded that police authorities must fish out all the policemen and women who were involved in these egregious crimes against humanity with the acclaimed man of God.

He wrote: "The @PoliceNG must arrest @REAL_DKOLUKOYA the General Overseer of @MFMWorldwide immediately, it must also fish out all the policemen and women involved in these egregious crimes against humanity NOW! #ENDSARS.

"Pastor D.K Olukoya is not different from Reverend King!"

Chukwuemeka Ezeugo a.k.a Rev. King, who was General Overseer, Christian Praying Assembly (CPA) Church Worldwide, a Lagos-based Pentecostal church, was sentenced to death for the murder of his church members.

Rev. King was arraigned on September 26, 2006 on a six-count charge of attempted murder and murder.

He pleaded not guilty to the allegations but was sentenced to death by the then Justice Joseph Oyewole of Lagos State High Court, Ikeja, on January 11, 2007 for the murder of one of his church members, Ann Uzoh.

His conviction was subsequently, upheld by the Supreme Court of Nigeria on 26 February 2016.

While narrating his ordeal Pastor Femi Jimoh,  had accused the church of being behind his incarceration for nine years without trial, over alleged armed robbery.

Jimoh, who made this known during an interview on Yoruba Gidi TV, alleged that his trial started when he ran into the Chief Security Officer of Pastor Daniel Olukoya at a native doctor's house.

He said in order to silence him from revealing the incident to anyone, he was beaten, handcuffed and framed up for a cooked up charges of armed robbery while a Divisional Police Officer shot him in the leg.

According to him, his mother and sister went to beg Olukoya on his behalf but he told them that he would be released only if he pleaded guilty in court.

In his interview, Pastor Jimoh said, "If it is by telling lies, they should look for someone that can tell lies because MFM believes that if anybody speaks on radio and television, he will be disregarded. My words are not to be disregarded. Let them hear me very well. If they want to call the police or lawyer, I'm ready. My words cannot be disregarded because I know them to be unforgiven and I can swear to that.

"If you offend them, they do not forgive at MFM. That is the bad character they have. It's my church, my elder brother worships there. My mum is there. I gave birth to my children there. My uncle is with Pastor Olukoya, so we are grounded in MFM.

"In our church, we don't forgive, we are mean. I'm the one saying all these. My name is Pastor Femi, the whole world should know me. Even the ones who don't know me should see me, Pastor Oluwafemi was given to me in 2007.

"I met Gbadamosi who is the chief security officer to Pastor Olukoya at a native doctor's house, what did he go there to do? He was surprised to see me, and I did not reveal it to any human being. I was arrested and kept in the cell, I was there for 30 days. I didn't have a lawyer.

"They handcuffed my hands and legs, and put me in the boot of a vehicle. As we were going, they branched at a filling station and brought me out, removed the handcuff from my hands and transferred me into a jeep (SUV) and was taken to Pastor Olukoya's place.

"When we got to my general overseer's place, I told him with respect and honour in accordance to MFM, that I had been in a cell for days, his response was so shocking to me. He said don't you know that our prayers here are always answered?

"I pleaded with our father, Olukoya not to let them take me back to the station, because I didn't know my offence. He said the case was already at the station, and that I should let the police carry out their work. He told them to take me away.

"They took me to Theatre where they tortured people, I was beaten and handcuffed. When they came to the Theatre, one DPO shot me in the leg.

"We were in police custody for several days without food. One day the IPO asked me to call my people because we were going to the house of death at GRA Oduduwa Crescent in Ikeja (SARS).

"After over 25 days in SARS, they bailed us with N250,000 and took us to Eleefo Magistrate Court at Ebute Metta. In the court, I was accused of attempted murder, conspiracy, armed robbery and felony. They also accused me of stealing N2 million. The court then adjourned the matter till further notice while I was remanded in Ikoyi Prison.”

Irked by the ill-treatment meted out to Pastor Femi,  former African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore described the interview as heavy, adding that not a shred of it is a lie.

In a series of posts on his social media handle, Sowore  said the alleged atrocities committed by MFM church leadership, the collusion between the church leadership and the police and others working with them should constitute a reason for a national police abuse commission of inquiry, such that all the people mentioned in the video are brought to justice.

The #RevolutionNow convener Omoyele has therefore called on the Nigeria Police Force to immediately arrest and prosecute Daniel Olukoya, the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry, for allegedly influencing the incarceration of a pastor for nine years without trial.

He said, "The atrocities committed by this MFM church leadership, the collusion between them and Nigeria Police Force, #SARS, and even the journalists working in cahoots with the Police as #Crimefighters who assist in framing the innocents should constitute a reason for a NATIONAL POLICE ABUSE COMMISSION OF INQUIRY such that all the people mentioned in this video are brought to justice.

"This video interview is heavy, but not a shred of it is a lie! I know how Dr. Daniel Olukoya operates; his people got me detained within the church premises, tried to break my camera, and threatened me at the back of the church, where he maintained a massive contingent of deadly DSS and Police operatives.”

"And I could also reveal that he works with the top echelon of the Police force, using senior officers to carry out those atrocities. Trust me, these acts will never go unpunished," he added.

  Day I Had Erection

-Ayefele Recounts How He Impregnated His Wife

Popular gospel singer, Yinka Ayefele, has expressed his excitement the day he had an erection after he sustained an spinal cord injury following an horrific auto crash that almost claim his life.

He explained that though it was rare for people with spinal cord injury to impregnate a woman, he happened to be one of the few exceptions.

He made the clarification during the ‘Curiosity Made Me Ask’ show hosted by content creator, Bae U Barbie. He added that he fathered his triplets contrary to what many people think.

.When the host stated that he was shocked that Ayefele had three children, the singer said, “How did I do what? Curious that I impregnated my wife? How did I get three kids? I impregnated my wife, she got pregnant, and had triplets.

“You thought I bought them? I don’t understand what you mean. I know you are curious, you want to talk about my spinal cord injury. Anybody who has a spinal cord injury might not be able to impregnate a lady. Yes, that is a fact, but I am one out of hundred.”

Ayefele had survived a ghastly accident that almost ended his life on December 12, 1997.

While celebrating 20-year-anniversary of the nightmarish accident, Ayefele had told reporters that on the day he first had an erection while he was in the hospital, everyone became ecstatic.

He recalled, “After the accident, everyone jubilated when I had an erection one afternoon.  I was wondering why they were rejoicing, and they told me the doctors said I would not be able to have an erection again. They had concluded without my knowledge.”

He admitted that life would have become meaningless had he not regained the ability to have an erection.

Disgraced Police Chief, Abba Kyari Released After 27 Months in Detention

A suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, has been released from the Kuje Custodial Centre in the Federal Capital Territory after spending 27 months in detention.

Kyari was detained following his arrest on February 14, 2022, by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency for alleged involvement with an international drug cartel.

Kyari, along with four members of the Police Intelligence Response Team—Sunday Ubia, Bawa James, Simon Agirigba, and John Nuhu—was arraigned on March 7, 2022.

Two suspected drug traffickers, Chibunna Umeibe and Emeka  Ezenwanne, who were arrested at Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu, were also charged.

While Kyari and the IRT members pleaded not guilty, Umeibe and Ezenwanne pleaded guilty and were convicted.

Despite multiple applications, Kyari’s requests for bail were repeatedly denied until a recent decision by a Federal High Court in Abuja.

On May 22, 2024, Judge Emeka Nwite, granted Kyari bail to allow him to conclude the burial rites of his mother, Yachilla Kyari, who died on May 5.

As part of his bail conditions, Kyari was required to deposit his passport with the court and report to the nearest NDLEA office during the bail period.

The court scheduled May 31, 2024, for the hearing on Kyari’s main application for bail about the drug trafficking charges.

Giving updates, the spokesperson of the Nigerian Correctional Service of the Federal Capital Territory Command, Adamu Duza, confirmed to our correspondent on Friday night that Kyari met his bail conditions and was released on Friday.

Duza said, “DCP Kyari has perfected his bail conditions, and has since been released today.”
