STING OPERATION!

AIT Boss, Raymond Dokpesi Arrested In London

The founder of Daar Communications Limited, owner of African Independent Television (AIT) and Raypower Radio Network, Chief Raymond Aleogho Dokpesi

has been allegedly arrested by the Metropolitan Police in London.

The Snoop gathered that the media mogul who is a chieftain of the PDP and close Ally of Atiku was arrested on arrival at Heathrow Airport in London ahead of his scheduled meeting with the People's Democratic Party (PDP) presidential flagbearer, Atiku Abubakar yesterday.

A source revealed that Dokpesi had boarded a Lufthansa Flight LH916 from Frankfurt to London and was subsequently picked up at Terminal 2 of Heathrow Airport.

He added that immediately after the flight arrived in London, an announcement was made that all passengers should remain in their seats.

Minutes later, UK border agents and officers stormed the aircraft and escorted Dokpesi out of the plane and he was booked into an HMP correctional center in the London Borough on Sunday afternoon.

He said: “We were on a flight from Frankfurt to London and as we are about to arrive in London, we were informed that we should all stay in our seats when the aircraft landed and that the Police wanted to do something.

“We were informed that there will be a police operation. So when we landed, the police came in and ask who is Raymond Dokpesi and they now took him away.

“He was wearing agbada. He was arrested in London.”

However, the reasons for the arrest of the PDP stalwart were unknown at the time of filing this report.

It would be recalled that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had in 2015, dragged Dokpesi to court and had accused him and his company of illegally receiving funds considered as proceeds of crimes from a former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges and went further to file a no-case submission after the prosecution closed its case in November 2018 after calling 14 witnesses.

However, the trial judge, Justice John Tsoho, rejected the no-case submission and ordered Dokpesi and his firm to enter their defence.

Not satisfied, the defendants then approached the Court of Appeal, with a request to nullify the decision and free him from the charges on the grounds that the prosecution failed to establish a prima facie case against them.

But the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal had discharged Dokpesi, from the N2.1 billion fraud charges brought against him by the EFCC.

 2023 Presidential Election:

Sowoore Tackles Kola Abiola

. Says: "I Don't Expect You To Run Against Me"

The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore has said he did not expect the presidential candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Kola Abiola to run against him in the forthcoming presidential election.

Speaking about his party's alliance with a faction of PRP that is not in support of Kola Abiola's candidacy, Sowore said he is entitled to be in alliance with any group that has an interest in his candidacy and Kola Abiola has the right to run for president.

He however said he didn't expect Kola to run against him because he was one of those who fought for Kola's father, Moshood Kashimawo Olawale (MKO) Abiola when the June 12 presidential election was annulled.

In a video shared on YouTube by Arise TV, Sowore said, "I don't think that by virtue of my struggle for the Abiola family, Kola Abiola should be struggling with me for the position of the presidency because when his father was encumbered in the annulment of the election we did the fighting, whereas Kola Abiola was having a good time.

"When his father died, we had to fight in the house almost physically, myself and Kola and Deji when they brought police to flush us out of the compound because they wanted the regime to come and pay homage to Abiola and we said no.

"What I am saying is that it is not that he is not entitled to be president, but I am also entitled to be in alliance with organizations and groups that have indicated an interest in my candidacy." Sowore said.

VENGEANCE!

Family Places N1m Ransome on Gay Lover

By Lanre Olaleye

A N1m ransome has been placed on a gay lover who has been on the run following the death of his partner.

The gay lover, Godgrant Agene was involved in a same sex amorous relationship with his partner, Akeem Ademola against the counsel of the latter's family.

According to investigation, about seven years ago, Ademola's family had kicked against the amorous relationship between Akeem and Agene because it is against the Islamic injunction even as the Nigerian society resent it.

But despite warning him to steer clear of Akeem, Agene still continued his love affair with his Yoruba-born lover to the chagrin of some youths in their Agege neighborhood.

Sources revealed that the lovers were, however, placed under watch until they ran out of luck as irate youths stormed their secret hideout on 5th of March 2016 at Victor Oluwole Street, Agege, Lagos.

The gay lovers were reportedly caught having sex in a most bizarre manner. They were both beaten to pulp by the youths for polluting their neighbourhood through their immoral acts.

Sadly, while Agene was lucky to have escaped from the scene, Akeem was not so lucky as he reportedly died from injuries inflicted on him by the irate youths.

Ever since, Akeem's aged mother, Mrs Ajoke Ademola has remained inconsolable. She blamed his son's tragic death on Agene, whom the family believed was the one who led their son to his death.

Speaking with our correspondent, the Late Akeem's elder brother, Saheed Ademola said the only way to console their grieving mother is to bring Agene to justice.

"He can only ran but he cannot hide. The police have been looking for him but we believe he cannot varnish from the surface of the earth and we would stop at nothing to bring him to justice," the elder brother said.

To facilitate Agene's arrest and eventual prosecution, the elder Ademola revealed the family has placed a ransome of N1m on Agene's head for any useful information leading to the arrest of the runaway gay lover.

"We are doing this for our grieving mother whose only wish is to see this man being brought to book." He added.

Raheem: Killer Cop Under Spiritual Spell -FPPRO, Adejobi

By Lanre Olaleye

Contrary to report, the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi has declared that Ajah Killer Cop, ASP Drambi Vandi may have been spell before shooting female lawyer, Bolanle Raheem.

The killer cop who is currently facing prosecution by the Lagos State Government reportedly shot the lawyer while attempting to make a U-turn under Ajah Bridge on Christmas Day.

The gruesome murder of the female lawyer has attracted public outcry especially on the social media with most condemning the unwholesome extra judicial killings of innocent Nigerians by trigger-happy policemen.

Raheem's gruesome murder was further aggravated when the dead lawyer was reported to be pregnant with a set of twins before she was shot by Vandi.

Speaking on a live radio programme, the Force Public Relations Officer (FPPRO), CSP Olumuyiwa Odejobi debunked claim that the culprit was drunk when he shot his victim.

"I know Vandi quite well when I served at Ajah. He was not drunk and I have debunked  that in my post on the social media," Adejobi said.

While fathoming the likely reason for the killer cop action, the police spokesman went spiritual. "He may be under spell like Edi (spiritual attack). I am sure many of our agbalagba in Yoruba land know what is Edi and Efun. He may have been under the spell. I have heard people say he is a drunk, he is not."

The police spokesman, however, said for whatever reason, ASP Vandi has no justification for killing the lawyer. "He has no justification for his action and therefore must carry his cross. alone," Adejobi added.

COLD SHOULDER!

 Buhari Denies Emefiele

. As CBN Governor Considers Assylum in UK

By Lanre Olaleye

It appears President Muhammadu Buhari may have given up on the Governor of Central Bank (CBN), Godwin Emefiele in his current travails with the Department of State Services (DSS).

The Central Bank boss who despite public outcry was head over hill with the introduction of new Naira notes may have had his bridges burnt by President Buhari over terrorism sponsorship charges levelled against him by the DSS.

It would be recalled the security agency filed a motion in court, accusing the CBN governor of terrorism financing and other crimes it described as economic crimes of national security dimension.

However, a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory last Thursday, barred the Department of State Services and the Inspector General of Police from arresting and detaining the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, over allegations of terrorism and sundry offences against him.

But despite the restraining court order, the DSS is determined to arrest and prosecute the CBN Governor. Attempts have been made to arrest Emefiele without success as some interest groups loyal to the CBN boss have prevented the security agency from doing so.

While the search for Emefiele rages, the CBN boss travelled recently to UK, where he has been concluding plans to seek refugee status over developing threats to his position and personal safety from the DSS.

The Snoop, however, gathered that Emefiele had since departed the UK for US on December 2022 as part of his annual vacation which is expected to end on January 5, 2023.

Top security sources informed DSS officials are poised to forcefully arrest Emefiele on his return to official duty on January 9 at the CBN headquarters in Abuja. The likelihood of his forceful arrest and detention, sources informed may have informed Emefiole's decision to seek Assylum in the UK, where he has his family and relatives.

Emefiole's dilemma, according to a top security chief, has been further compounded by the indifference of President Buhari on the matter.

The president is reported to have refrained from dabbling into the matter even as pressures from the Director-General of DSS, Yusuf Bichi is being mounted on him to bring down the apex bank boss down.

"President Buhari is the only one to save the CBN Governor from his current debacle. But unfortunately the president has kept silent. Call it a cold shoulder if you want but it doesn't look good for Emefiole," our source revealed.
