 MC Oluomo Sworn-in As NURTW National President 

Former Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Lagos State Chapter, Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has been sworn-in as the new National President of the Union.

Akinsanya who was the sole candidate in the election, which took place at the Union’s Zonal Secretariat along the Osogbo/Ikirun Road took his oath of office at the National Secretariat of the union early today in Abuja.

Delegates from the four Southwest states of Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, and Ekiti participated in the election.

The election, held during the Union’s Quadrennial Delegate Conference, was monitored and observed by the acting National President of the union, Aliyu Issa-Ore.

The swearing-in ceremony was conducted by the acting National President, Aliyu Issa-Ore who announced his decision to step aside following Oluomo's election.
