Oba MacGregor Bags Outstanding Pioneer Leadership Award of Ibadan Grammar School Alumni Association

 When excellence meets vision, legends are born. This is indeed a truism for the Olu of Ilawo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Prof) Alexander Olusegun MacGregor as he adds another feather to his well-decorated royal cap with the conferment of the Bishop A. B. Akinyele Award for  Outstanding Pioneer Leadership of Ibadan Grammar School Old Students Association of North America (IGSOSANA).

The conferment was the highpoint of the 18th Annual Convention of the Ibadan Grammar School Old Students Association of North America (IGSOSANA) held from August 28th - August 31st 2025 in Austin, Texas, USA.

From the walls of Ibadan Grammar School to the pinnacle of international business excellence, His Royal Majesty has revolutionized the Biopharmaceutics industry worldwide; breaking barriers and setting new standards that have transformed lives across continents.

 A true Mountaineer who has scaled through the peak of innovation and leadership.to become a trailblazer in the global pharmaceutical industry by translating advances in pharmaceutical and medicinal science into sustainable business.

The North American Distinguished professor of Biopharmaceutics and Clinical Pharmaceutical Corporation, Canada was named as one of 150 extra-ordinary Canadians.  

On the world-stage, Prof. MacGregor is a recipient of several global patents in the field of phytotherapy, medical treatments and advanced drug delivery technologies most notably from Canada, US, Australia, Europe, Latin America, China, India, Singapore, Indonesia and Japan.

His inventions have led to ground-breaking therapeutic drugs for the treatment of cancer; management of diabetes; systemic infections and post-operative pain.

Prof. MacGregor is the recipient of several international awards of excellence. In 2003, he received African/Canadian Science & Technology Award of Excellence. 

In 2004, he received a Distinguished Award of Excellence from the Nigerian/Canadian Association. Still in 2004, he was named an International Pharmaceutical Expert for the City of Beijing in the Peoples Republic of China-an award proffered by the Mayor of Beijing, China.
