 Mandate Rallies Council Poll Aspirants With Submission of Letter of Intent


The Mandate Movement (TMM) in Oshodi/Isolo is leaving no stone unturned in its bid to record a remarkable performance in the forthcoming local government elections in the state.

In a press statement issued by TMM Media Secretary, Lanre Olaleye, the Movement under the able leadership of Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) member, Chief Muraina Akanbi Taiwo has kick-started its preparation for the forthcoming local government poll in the state with the submission of letters of intent by aspirants ahead of the elections.

Across Oshodi/Isolo Constituency I and II comprising of Oshodi, Isolo and Ajigbo, it was a massive turnout of TMM members across the various political wards.

Among the crowd that thronged the various political wards were aspirants for council chairmanship and councillorship positions who submitted their letter of intent to contest the election under the platform of TMM.

The submission of the intent letter followed the introduction of the aspirants to members of thw wards including leaders and elders as well as other stakeholders of the group.

Speaking on ward meetings, one of the apex leaders in Isolo, Hon. Niyi Fabikun described the turnout as impressive noting that TMM members are mobilizing themselves for the great task ahead. “From the report we have received across the various wards, it was very impressive and that shows the zeal and commitment of our members for the task ahead” He said.

Meanwhile, local government meetings of The Mandate Movement (TMM) are expected to hold simultaneously at designated venues in Oshodi, Isolo and Ejigbo at 4:00 p.m.on Wednesday, 29th January 2025.

The meeting is expected to witness the collection of letters of intent from aspirants as well as deliberation on report from last Monday’s ward meetings.
