TINUBU PICKS APC TICKET AFTER LANDSLIDE VICTORY

Against all odds, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emerged the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) after he recorded a landslide victory over 13 other contestants in primary election concluded this afternoon at Eagles Square, Abuja.
The former Lagos State Governor polled an unassailable 1271 votes to beat his closest rival and Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon Rotimi Amaechi who polled a total of 316 votes ahead of Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo who came a distant third with 235 votes.
Senate President, Ahmed Lawan recorded 152 votes to place fourth position ahead of Kwara State Governor, Yahaya Bello who recorded 47 votes to place fifth.
Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi was sixth with 38 votes. He is closely followed by his Cross River State counterpart, Ben Ayade who polled 37 votes to place eight. Ahmed Sanni polled 4 votes to place ninth in the contest.
The duo of Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba and Ogbonaya Onu recorded one vote each.

Interestingly, there were no votes for Pastor Tunde Bakare, Rochas Okorocha, Jack Richie and Ikeobasi Mokelu.
